New routes to Gdansk Airport in summer 2015 – fly to Gdansk with Wizzair, Czech Airlines and Finnair
Spring and summer 2015 are busy seasons for Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, in Poland. The third busiest Polish airport (and the busiest one in northern Poland) will see 7 new routes taking off between May and June this year.
Wizzair – new routes at Gdansk Airport in summer 2015
The largest airline ate Gdansk Airport, Wizzair, will introduce four new routes in its summer schedule at Gdansk Airport. From 19 June 2015, low-cost flights from Gdansk will be available to Aberdeen, Billund, Brussels-Charleroi and Reykjavik-Keflavik. All four routes will be served twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays.
With the new addition, Wizzair will increase the number of destinations served from Gdansk Airport to 30 on year-round flights (the carrier operates also a seasonal route Gdansk – Rome-Fiumicino).
Czech Airlines routes at Gdansk Airport
The steadily developing Gdansk Airport is attracting new airlines. From 25 May 2015, Czech Airlines CSA will start operating flights to Gdansk from Prague and Poznan. Both services, Gdansk-Prague and Gdansk-Poznan, will be available four times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights Gdansk-Helsinki by Finnair/Flybe Nordic
Finnair is another new carrier to show interest in Gdansk Airport’s potential. From 11 May, the Finnish airline will make available daily flights Gdansk-Helsinki.
Gdansk Airport on the Baltic coast
Gdansk Airport – GDN is the primary international gateway to northern Poland. Located on the Polish Baltic coast, the airport serves not only Gdansk but also two neighbouring cities – the industrial Gdynia and Sopot, Poland’s most famous beach destination – which together form an urban agglomeration known as Tricity (Trojmiasto).
