Hertz Rent a Boat service in Amsterdam

A new, fun sightseeing option is available in Amsterdam now.

The giant of car hire industry Hertz Corp., in partnership with a Dutch company Boot Amsterdam, has launched Hertz Rent a Boat service, offering customers a possibility to visit the city by water, cruising in a hire boat on Amsterdam’s channels.

The tailor-made service includes different types of vessels, from gondolas, simple taxi boats and open boats, to luxury motorboats. The largest vessels can accommodate up to 35 people; the most expensive ones have the option of a private chef and catering.

Amsterdam boat hire rates
Hourly rates of Amsterdam rent a boat service start from EUR 5 per person, or EUR 135 per boat. A yellow barge, Hertz Canal Cruiser, with capacity for 20 people is available for EUR 7 per person.

Customers can chose to navigate the rental boats themselves or rent a boat together with an experienced captain and crew.

Most iconic Amsterdam tourist attractions, such as Royal Palace on Dam Square, the Westertoren church tower, the flower market, Van Gogh Museum or Rijksmuseum can be reached aboard hire boats.
