Copenhagen Airport car rental offices shift location to parking P1 – Avis, Hertz, Budget, Sixt, Europcar, Enterprise and Budget have moved in CPH

In the largest airport in Scandinavia, the rental car offices have moved out of the main terminal.

Copenhagen Airport – CPH is the largest airport measured on number of passengers. With steady growth, CPH Airport on the small Island of Amager 6 miles (10 km) from Copenhagen has reached 30 million passengers per year.

Because of the increased flow of people, changes to the layout inside the airport are taking place.

In February 2017, the car rental offices have moved from the main terminals (between terminal 2 and 3) to parking area P1 in front of the old Terminal 1.

It means that all hire car customers must take the Rent-A-Car shuttle bus to the P1 parking. The shuttle bus is free of charge, but obviously adds slightly to the time spent in the otherwise very effective and award winning airport.

In Copenhagen Airport, the rental cars were always parked at parking P1, so the change is not significant.

Parking P1 is situated in front of the old domestic terminal (which used to be Terminal 1). Terminal 1 in CPH Airport in Copenhagen is now defunct.

To get to the car rental offices and parking (Parking P1), all passengers must either walk the approx. 1 km (outside) or take the shuttle bus, which leaves every 10 minutes from Terminal 2/3 for Parking P1.
