Bydgoszcz Airport in Poland welcomes a new airline – Lufthansa Frankfurt - Bydgoszcz flights from March 2015
As of late March 2015 the German carrier Lufthansa will start operating from Bydgoszcz Airport in northern Poland. Bydgoszcz Airport (BZG), also known as Bydgoszcz-Szwederowo Airport, or Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport is the 9th busiest amongst all international airports in Poland.

Lufthansa will connect Bydgoszcz Airport to Frankfurt. The route Bydgoszcz-Frankfurt will be served four times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, by an Embraer 90, with capacity for a hundred passengers. Expected flight time is 90 minutes. For comparison, the time required to cover the same distance by car is approx. 8 hours.
