Since 2014, when Oakland Airport got connected to the Bay Area Rapid Transfer (BART) system, public transportation is a popular solution for transfers from the airport. The automated people mover links both terminals to Oakland Coliseum Station where a range of connecting train are available. The trains from the airport to Coliseum Station run every 6 minutes during daytime and every 20 minutes at night and take approximately 8 minutes to reach this major transportation hub in the Bay Area.

About Oakland Airport
The airport was inaugurated in 1927 and its original structures are still used by the cargo aviation.
Passenger traffic is handled in the two, newer, terminals, being the Terminal 2 of OAK of the exclusive use of Southwest Airlines. The Terminal 1 serves carriers as Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Azores Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Spirit Airlines and Volaris.
