Dubai Al Maktoum Airport – car rental at the new Dubai airport

The most recent airport of Dubai was inaugurated in 2010 and, despite the rather slow initial phase of functioning, it is finally increasing its operations. Dubai Al Maktoum Airport – DWC is located in Jebel Ali, approx. 23 miles southwest of Dubai city centre. This huge structure is a part of the Dubai World Central economic zone, still in development. Currently mostly Middle East airlines operate from Dubai Al Maktoum, although European and Western carriers are slowly taking interest in this location. Flights from the UK to AL Maktoum will be available with Thomson Airways from a variety of British airports.
