Apart from the oldest quarters of Luxembourg City, other areas popular with tourists are Grund and Kirchberg. Grund is a picturesque valley, located south of city centre, offering beautiful views during the day and vibrant night life after dawn.

Kirchberg, north-east of the city centre is known for its modern architecture and for hosting headquarters and administration units of various European Union institutions, amongst them European Court of Justice, European Investment Bank, as well as the Secretariat of the European Parliament.

The impressive medieval Beaufort Castle and picturesque location in the Our River Valley attract tourist to Vianden all year long, although the romantic and somewhat mysterious atmosphere of the place is best to be enjoyed during the summer, when the lush forestry of the area offers a pleasant refuge from the summer heat.
