April Sale 2014 - Cartrawler Terms and Conditions

The below terms and conditions are in force for the car rental sale on the Cartrawler search engine in the period from April 25th 2014 to May 2nd 2014.

Any bookings outside the promotional period and after the 2nd of May 2014 are not subject to the below terms and conditions for Cartrawler April Sale 2014. For all bookings being made after May 2nd 2014, normal Cartrawler Terms & Conditions apply (Cartrawler Standard Terms & Conditions). Offer Period - April Sale Cartrawler (2014)
From 00:00 BST (GMT +1) on the 25th of April 2014 and until 23:59 BST (GMT +1) on the 2nd of May 2014 (defined as the "Promotional Period"), the Cartrawler 2014 Sale will be available subject to these Sale Terms and Conditions and the Standard Terms and Conditions.

In this defined period, different destinations will be on sale each day (each destination only one day sale).

The car rental Sale (Cartrawler April Sale 2014) is valid for pickups in the relevant destination if the pickup is between 25 April and 10 July 2014, or between 15 September and 15 December 2014, unless otherwise stated.

Please note that some exclusions may apply to selected destinations (where the Cartrawler sale takes place) and these are described below.

Car rental price - Cartrawler discount up to 20%
A discount of up to 20% off (up to 20% discount on rental car bookings) has been applied to the standard online rates for cars available for reservation, the sale price is shown through the use of a strikethrough symbol on the website/Cartrawler search engine.

The discount on car rental is only available for reservations made in the relevant 24 hour period for the sale destination (pick-up destination).

Up to 20% discount on car rental will be available on selected airport pickups and downtown locations. However, please note that some pickup locations, car categories and dates of booking will not be discounted and no strikethrough will be visible. Any quotes for rental cars will only be valid on the date the quotation is made (for discount rental car in Spain for instance only April 28^th) and the car hire sale offer cannot be honoured after that time.

Please note that Cartrawler work with multiple suppliers in each location and often rental cars from different suppliers i.e. Avis, Sixt, Hertz, Dollar, Europcar, Goldcar, Thrifty, Budget and others within the same category will vary in price. While Cartrawler endeavour to offer up to 20% off all rentals within the sale and pickup dates stated above, some car rental suppliers may not supply discounts, and therefore none will be shown on those particular rentals from those particular suppliers. The cheapest rate before the sale takes place 25th April to May 2nd may not be the discounted rate on the day of the sale on the particular destination.

The sale offer is subject to availability. Any car rental sale offer may be subject to change or withdrawn without prior notification. Please note that prices can change quickly based on demand and availability of cars and during the rental car sale, it is likely that the cheapest cars for hire will book up first. Prices shown (car rental offers), although discounted by up to 20%, may also rise during the sale period.

The discounted rate offered for the April 2014 sale is inclusive of airport surcharges, collision damage waiver, environmental tax (where applied), theft waiver, third party liability insurance and unlimited mileage (except for domestic USA rentals and rentals in Australia). Rates for car rentals in the USA include loss damage waiver and supplementary liability insurance (SLI).

An important note about CDW: Please note that Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) does not always cover damage or loss of keys, damage to tyres, damage to windscreen or undercarriage and the car rental customer may be liable for the cost of damage or loss to any of these items.

The April 2014 Sale will not apply to any pre-bookable extras such as vehicle hire excess & security deposit protection Insurance nor to the hiring of GPS products. Nor will the rental car sale and discounts apply to cars where the selling price is set by the car hire supplier of a vehicle. In this instance, no strikethrough discount will be shown for the car rental offer.

Cancellations, Changes and Excluded Items
This Cartrawler car rental sale applies to all new reservations (car rental bookings) made for the specified sale destination in the particular 24 hour sale periods advertised above and cannot be applied to existing reservations or be applied retrospectively for any reservations. Car reservations made prior to the sale, cancelled cars and rebooked cars during the April 2014 car rental sale will not be eligible for discount.

During this Promotional Period, no maximum number of reservations for cars apply. The Sale in all destinations is subject to availability, and the Sale may be subject to change or withdrawn without prior notification.

The Sale only applies to reservations made for each sale destination (country) on the date it is on sale. Once a confirmed car reservation has been made, minor changes to your reservations can be made such as adding the names of new or additional drivers or adding pre-bookable extras available locally on the destination. Please note that any major changes such as exchanging the time, date and location of the pick-up and drop off or change of the car group (car rental class) reserved, for example, will be possible but may cancel the discount and thereby result in a higher price and the customer will be responsible also for any additional charges which may apply as a result of these changes.

If the customer wishes to cancel his car hire reservation at any time, the normal cancellation policy and charges will apply.

All reservations of cars which require confirmation within 48 hours will still be eligible for the sale discount of the April 2014 Cartrawler Sale provided that the original reservation is confirmed with the supplier. If Cartrawler is unable to confirm the original reservation of vehicle within 48 hours, the customer may still be eligible for the sale discount providing he re-books his car hire within 48 hours of being notified that the original vehicle reservation cannot be confirmed.

Please note that the 2014 April Sale does not apply to van or motorhome hire and is subject to availability and the sale may be subject to change or withdrawn without prior notification.

In the case of a conflict between these Sale Terms and Conditions and the Standard Terms and Conditions then the Standard Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

Stocks of rental cars are limited and discounts are offered from various suppliers who have differing locations across each country. Exclusion dates apply in selected sale destinations and specific terms can be found below.

• Pickups before May 12th are excluded

Italy exclusion dates:

• Sicily and Sardinia pickups before September 15th are excluded
• Pickups before May 6th are excluded

France exclusion dates:

• Sale excludes Corsica
• Pickups between June 20th and July 10th 2014 are available in: Paris (CDG Airport), Paris (Orly Airport), Nice (Airport), Marseille (Airport), Toulouse (Airport), Bordeaux (Airport), Lyon (Airport) and Carcassonne (Airport). Stocks are limited.

Portugal & Madeira exclusion dates:

• Pickups before May 6th are excluded

Florida exclusion dates:

• Not available for domestic USA/Canada customers
• Pickups after June 30th are excluded

UK exclusion dates:

• Pickups between May 2nd to May 4th (UK Bank Holiday) are excluded
• Pickups after July 10th are excluded

Ireland exclusion dates:

• Pickups after July 10th are excluded

Australia exclusion dates:

• Sale destinations will be limited and not all pickup locations will show a discount
• Please note that the following locations ARE INCLUDED and limited discounts will be available for pickups before 30^th September: Adelaide (Downtown, Airport), Brisbane (Downtown, Airport), Cairns (Downtown, Airport), Gold Coast (Downtown, Airport), Melbourne (Downtown, Airport), Sydney (Downtown, Airport), Perth (Downtown, Airport), Surfers Paradise (Downtown)
